Artikulat features the latest Linn technologies including active servo bass, an enhanced 3K driver array and Chakra high-efficiency power amplification.

The enhanced 3K driver array gives outstanding high frequency reproduction and allows real flexibility when positioning the loudspeakers in your room for consistent high quality sound. It is a precision machined die-cast component housing the mid-range, high-frequency and super high-frequency drive units. It is designed and manufactured by Linn to ensure an exceptionally wide horizontal and vertical dispersion, precise high-frequency response and single point source accuracy.

Artikulat also features a specially developed Aktiv Servo-Driven Bass System housed within the loudspeaker cabinet. This technology provides power for the bass and uses an accelerometer in each of the independently controlled bass drive-units to measure the precise motion of the drive-unit and compare the movement against the original input signal. Should these signals not be identical, the servo immediately modifies the output to compensate for any difference. The result is extremely accurate and musical bass performance.

All models within the Artikulat loudspeaker system benefit from Linn’s latest innovative ‘Silent Power’ amplification technology, Chakra. This is a simple but highly innovative design perfected by Linn through precision engineering. It offers significantly increased power, reliability and efficiency, whilst at the same time producing less heat, less distortion and using fewer components than traditional power amplification designs. In short, Chakra amplifier topology is superior in every parameter through simplicity.

In loudspeaker design, having a strong cabinet free from vibration and movement is critical to performance. Each model in the Artikulat loudspeaker system features advanced pressure-formed natural laminate cabinets which provide an exceptionally rigid construction with ultra-low resonance properties in which the loudspeaker drive-units operate. As well as contributing significantly to the performance of Artikulat, these curved, sculpted cabinets are quite simply gorgeous.

The Artikulat loudspeaker system is available in two configurations:

• Integrated Aktiv, with all power amplification housed inside each loudspeaker cabinet.
• Passive with Aktiv servo bass, for use with external power amplifiers.

In its fully integrated Aktiv guise, the Artikulat loudspeaker system features advanced Chakra power amplifier technology cleverly housed within each loudspeaker cabinet. With no need for external power amplifiers there are fewer components in the system and far less cabling. A simple and neat solution, delivering stunning performance.

The system consists of four distinct, sonically and aesthetically matched loudspeakers comprising three full-range models and one active bass reinforcement loudspeaker.

In a performance home theatre system, partner the full integrated Aktiv Artikulat loudspeaker system with the Unidisk 1.1 multi-format disc player and Kisto system controller for the most involving music and movie experience.

For a more discrete appearance, each model in the Artikulat loudspeaker system features invisible ‘Sekrit Fastener’ grilles, held in place by a series of small, powerful magnets below the surface of the loudspeaker cabinet.

The Artikulat loudspeaker system is available in 4 real wood veneer finishes - Black Ash, American Cherry, Maple and Rosenut. These real wood veneers are also available in a special high-gloss finish.
