The new series comprises three product variants:
106C - a 3-way rectangular in-wall/ceiling loudspeaker with ABR for enhanced bass performance
104C-R - a 3-way round in-wall/ceiling loudspeaker
104C-S - a 3-way square in-wall/ceiling loudspeaker
All variants feature Linn’s proprietary 2K driver array technology, derived from Linn's reference loudspeakers. The 2K array provides wide dispersion to fill the room ensuring that the best performance is obtained no matter where the loudspeaker is installed, whether in the wall or ceiling. In many competing products, tweeters have to be tilted to address problems of placement. Our 2K array technology was designed to address this dispersion issue first, making complex tilting mechanisms unnecessary. This allows for simplicity and increased flexibility when positioning the loudspeakers.
The Linn Custom 2K series acoustically complements Linn's Komponent loudspeaker system, which incorporates the same 2K driver array, and so can be mixed and matched in installations where space is limited. For example, the new Linn Custom 2K series will sit comfortably in a multi-channel system as concealed rear speakers.
The series is an ideal solution for a multi-room installation, where high quality audio performance combined with discretion is of utmost priority. It also offers exceptional performance as a fully installed custom surround system in a home theatre, and is particularly suitable where space is limited but performance cannot be compromised.
