'Presentation Counts: when you unpack the speakers and electronics, you cannot help but be impressed by the concern shown for presentation: sturdy boxes, neat compartmentation, handbooks elegantly styled - multilingual and models of clarity. The Majik is a very fine CD player indeed ... Large scale but specific images flooded into the room ... And what depth imagery! The little Katans were even more of a surprise. Angled into the listening position ... the imaging was quite extraordinary. And the soundstage spilled out nicely, well beyond the actual speaker placement. Linn can add soundstaging, in both depth and width, as well as timing and tunefullness, to its credits here. The good news is that this very system, plus Katan stands, is on offer from Linn dealers at a special price ... Even ignoring the present offer price, this system represents great value for money.'
