Adding extra channels of amplification is a great way of upgrading your system's performance, whether you're simply bi-amping your speakers, going fully Aktiv with one amp channel for every drive unit, or combining with Exaktbox to achieve the ultimate upgrade to Exakt.
Exaktbox: the ultimate upgrade
An Exaktbox, together with additional amplification, allows you to upgrade to Exakt while keeping your current speakers. If you’ve already upgraded your Linn speakers to Aktiv operation, the Exaktbox simply takes the place of the Aktiv cards or Tunebox. If you currently have passive speakers, add an Exaktbox plus additional channels of amplification to drive every channel in your speakers independently.
Connected via Exakt Link to any Exakt-enabled Linn network music player, Exaktbox can be used with your choice of power amps and Exakt-compatible speakers.
What’s more, every Exaktbox is software-configurable, so even if you change your speakers in the future, your system is quickly and easily updated. Exaktbox transforms your system’s performance by delivering linear phase at all frequencies.

Going Aktiv
Upgrading your Linn speakers to Aktiv is a great way to improve performance and also provides a significant step on the way to the ultimate upgrade of Exakt.
Aktiv crossover cards fit inside Linn Akurate and Majik power amplifiers and split the signal before it's amplified, feeding a dedicated channel of amplification for each drive unit and bypassing the passive crossover inside your speakers.
This significantly reduces the noise and distortion associated with passive crossovers and also unlocks further upgrade possibilities - with your speakers Aktiv, you have all the amps needed to go to the next level using an Exaktbox.
When you buy any Akurate or Majik amp for upgrading to Aktiv, we'll include the Aktiv Cards you need for your particular speakers, at no extra charge. Please contact your Linn Specialist for more details.
