Full Stack Web Developer

We are seeking experienced Software Developers to join our team based in Eaglesham near Glasgow.

We are a small team within R&D that builds web applications providing features and capabilities to our world-class music systems. We are looking to expand the team to help us with the following projects:

  • Extending our public website with the ability to manage the configuration of your Linn products
  • Build the next generation of Linn's Space Optimisation technology, taking advantage of the latest cloud-computing technology
  • Continuing the development of our web-based crossover design application, Exakt.Design.

We are currently a team of two and are looking to add a couple more. Linn does not have tightly governed roles common in larger organisations - instead we try to maintain a collaborative environment, where everyone is able influence our technical direction – our architecture, tools, frameworks and practices.

We are looking for a full stack developer to help the team with the projects outlined above. Ideally, you would have a background in mathematics or physics, experience with Amazon Web Services or similar would also be handy. Our software stack makes heavy use of C# and JavaScript, so familiarity with those languages would be useful. However, what might prove more valuable would be experience of general 'good' development practices: testing in its various forms; software design and patterns; application architecture.

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate that they understood what makes good code. They would be engaged (in some way) with the wider development community. They would be familiar with a variety of frameworks, and able to call upon them to solve the problems they face.

To apply for this role please send your CV along with a covering letter detailing your experience to recruitment@linn.co.uk as soon as possible.
