Marketing Assistant

Linn design and make the best music systems in the world and also record award-winning albums from world-class musicians, all from their base just outside Glasgow

This is a unique opportunity for a keen individual with a passion for marketing, events and social media to join the expanding marketing department.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional, efficient and effective marketing support
  • Management of email campaigns in line with Linn’s database marketing strategy
  • Copywriting duties in line with Linn’s tone of voice guidelines
  • Administration of social media campaigns including Facebook, Twitter and online blogs
  • Planning and execution of events and tours

Core skills and experience required

  • Eagerness to learn and take on-board new concepts quickly
  • Excellent copywriting abilities and a sharp eye for detail
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively
  • IT literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media platforms. Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
  • Confident, energetic and creative individual with great verbal communication skills
  • A passion for music is essential

Education Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent

C# Software Developer

Linn is a Scottish company that makes the world’s best music systems.

We’re looking for a full-time C# software engineer to join us in our Glasgow office. As part of the software ecosystem for our digital streamers, we’ve created our own media server; your primary responsibility will be to take the lead in its future development. All development is in C#. We deploy to Mac/Linux as well as Windows so familiarity with the world beyond Microsoft is important.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

Essential skills:

  • 5+ years professional software engineering.
  • Strong C# developer.

Desirable:

  • User-level experience with streaming audio.
  • Experience with database engines, including NoSQL.
  • Experience both using and implementing network protocols.
