Buyer

Linn requires a highly motivated professional Buyer to work within its Strategic Purchasing function. The successful candidate will have significant supplier development experience, ability to deliver demonstrable improvements to the sourcing/selection of suitable suppliers as well as the management of supply chain performance in a fast moving environment. Reporting directly to the Purchasing and Supply Manager, the applicant will be responsible for:

  • management of specific supply chains to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled
  • interacting daily with a worldwide supply base and a variety of in-house design disciplines
  • sourcing and selection of new suppliers and technologies
  • playing a key role in new product introductions
  • continual evaluation and performance management of existing supply base

The successful applicant must be a lateral thinker in terms of procurement options, customer focused, well organised, able to work proactively under pressure with excellent written and oral skills. They should have at least three years experience working in a Purchasing environment and be familiar with various mechanical and electronic components and processes. A professional purchasing qualification or relevant degree is also essential.

Catering Assistant

Linn Products currently require a full time experienced Catering Assistant for their premises in Waterfoot and requires you to work 37 1/2 hours per week, Mon – Fri between the hours of 07:30 and 15:30 hrs.

You will be working as part of the catering team to deliver a full catering service.

Duties will include:

- Assist in the preparation of meals
- Service of meals to customers
- Ensure kitchen and dining areas are cleaned to the required standards
- Assist the Canteen Manager when required
- Any other duties as required

Preferred experience in the following but not essential:-

- Elementary Food Hygiene certificate/ Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Previous experience in a catering position
- NVQ Level or equivalent qualification
